Brought this home a couple of months ago. Stunning in workmanship, sound(s) and beautiful to look at.
Truss rod adjustment from .006" to .004" in relief, 12-53 Curt Magnan Phosphors installed and have been playing happily ever after.
If you can try one of these out, you just might like it.
Best purchase that I've made since getting my Boss Katana 100 1X12.

Those Westerly RI Guild guitars were made about 20 minutes from my house. A very long time ago a kid that grew up a few houses down from me worked at Guild building those acoustics. He learned everything about guitars so he was able to open his own local business doing repair and setup work on guitars after Guild shut down production in Westerly. He has done work on numerous guitars for a lot of famous musicans that come into town to perform at the casinos. But yah those Westerly Guild guitars have a reputation for being really nice with a good build quality and are very desirable.

Congratulations on the new Guild! IMO the Westerly series along with the old GAD series are some of the best values out there. I say this as a tech/luthier who has worked on a bunch of Guilds, both US made and the imports. I also own a 1972 D-35 and a GAD25. They sound different, but I can't say that the one built in Westerly RI is a better guitar than the GAD. Guild purists may turn up their nose at the import models, but in my experience, the Westerly/GAD series give up very little to the US models.

View attachment 304724The little dot on the top is the new Cling On Pickup. It is magnetically attached and sounds great. It can attach anywhere you find sounds you like. Still experimenting.

Still...not a very good pic. sorry. Glare is a problem.
I hadn't heard of those but I love the concept already. What's the make/model?
Nice guit. I'm sure it sounds great, I haven't come across many Guilds that were duds.

As a Trekkie I also approve of the name. Thanks for the info.

I'm also on LTG, and you might be shocked to know I use the handle Mr. Lumbergh over there.

That's not cool, how long ago was that? I've been on since about March when I added my Bluesbird to the fold. Actually, before that because I'd been GASsing over a Polara a couple years before, and had a question about the neck profile, but couldn't remember my credentials to get back in and so set up a new account.
Anywho, I find it to be pretty chill, but a lot less busy than here. I have few posts there because I'm not nearly as active on it.
I'd also be looking at a Starfire if I didn't have a pair of Gretsches already, and I may wind up looking at a VI anyway at some point. Your M-75 is more or less a P-90 version of my Bluesbird, or should I say, the Bluesbird is a 'bucker version of the M-75? One for the list anyways; I also want a Polara and a Thunderbird. Probably a Savoy, too; I'm insufferable with GAS.
I would give LTG another shot perhaps, maybe that nasty thread was an anomaly, but one thing I will say about Strat-Talk: we pretty much just love guitars, and music in general. If you have a question about Guild, post it here if you prefer and I'm sure someone will try to help you out. It's good to have you here.

Glad to hear about the atmosphere.
To be honest, the last time visiting LTG was about 2 years ago?
Was trying to find info about the Aristocrat. But it was about a year or two before that when the incident described previously, took place.
The Bluesbird was the other choice next to the M-75, but am really into P-90s. But what a beautiful guitar the Bluesbirds are. The Aristocrat in black with the white P-90s was a close second.
Had a Eastwood Tuxedo, black with the white P-90s. Beautiful, but had to have something different. So...
Always thought the M-75 would sound awesome through one of those Supro amps
Thanks for the heads up about LTG.
Will check it out again soon.

Congrats! It looks beautiful, I'm currently looking at the D150 cutaway. I really like the sound and feel of it.
